Trump is creating swings that his buddies (and he himself) will profit off, by getting that call 10 minutes before the announcement.
It's a game normal investors can't win.
The only thing to do is get out of US stocks.

Most national leaders try to encourage stability in the currency and stock markets.
Trump doesn’t.
By making absurd declarations on Panama, Greenland and Canada as well as tariffs he creates uncertainty to make the stock market volatile which creates extra opportunities for enrichment.
