AUGUSTA — "By about 2:20 p.m., the protest in Augusta had effectively ended, but for a smaller group, the march continued, with some making their third and fourth laps around the block.
Organizers had intended the march to take place on the sidewalk, but the width of Capitol Street was filled with a throng of protesters shortly before 2 p.m.

"Vivian Myers-Jones, a protester from New Brunswick, Canada, said an organizer estimated 3,000 people were at the protest during its peak.

"Several students from Bates College in Lewiston said they came to Augusta to protest in support of #Palestine. One student, Dylan, said action on the Israel-Hamas war is overdue.

"'We’ve been seeing a genocide unfolding before our eyes for years now, and it’s overdue that people are doing something,' he said. 'We’ve been trying to make change, and I think some people are being shocked into action now, which is good to see.'

"Another student, Robert, said it’s important to exercise the right to protest.
'We’re fighting to continue fighting — about Palestine, about everything that’s going on in this country,' he said.
It’s important that we come together now.'"

If we attack the #Left harder maybe the #fascists will #vote for us at a slightly increased level in enough swing states to win the next #election whereby we won't manage to do anything useful because we won't be able to claim a mandate within those margins.

All I'm asking for is a candidate that represents #workingclass interests. How in the hell is that demanding perfection?

#Politicians work for US, not the other way around. Politicians have to EARN your #votes.

Liberals think having more money makes you a "good" person and having less somehow makes you a "bad" one.

I grew up in #Covington, #Kentucky most of my life, I'm none of the things they accuse us of, yet liberals don't like people like me because they think we're all reactionary #bigots.

#Bush made fascism better for liberals to tolerate because he hid his behind the cloak of a loveable oaf. Liberals remember the #liberal oaf & not the #warcriminal.

Hell, #Iraq was a #bipartisan decision.

Unlike liberals, I can't forgive him for #Iraq. It was a #warcrime that has basically been swept under the rug now in no small part to the #liberal rehabilitation of the grotesque creature known as #GeorgeWBush.
