I was wondering why some people were making fun of "people are the real monsters" seemingly out of no where, and it turns out it's just because that DMC show was saying "the United States are the real monsters".

Now, to be fair, the reason some people might get thrown off is because the invaded people are, you know, demons. But they could do something interesting with that, or maybe they'll just be all like "both sides are bad" instead, I dunno.

...Maybe like the head demon or whatever plays Animal Crossing: Wild World.

The protagonist Negishi hates death metal and would love to become a famous pop musician, but he sucks at it.
Like a certain red panda, he puts on his makeup and stage costume to become Johannes Krauser II, the guitarist and lead singer of DMC, and he unleashes all his stress and frustrations through metal music.

Starting point for 24 Hours of Cross Stitch, yep it's a brand new start! Yesterday's sensible plan got scrapped already, haha.

Missing five of the called-for colours so may need to nip to the shops later, currently undecided whether I'll cheat and count shopping time in with the 24, depends how far behind I am.

I've committed to doing at least one video call to kick off the celebrations later today, and we have a friend attempting a 24 hour stream from 9pm UK time tonight which seems like madness to me but just goes to show the #24hocs hype is real 😂

Tomorrow kicks off the first 24 Hours of Cross Stitch weekend in 2025! Who's in for this round?

I was all sensible and prepared, or so I thought, but my floss order is stuck in limbo so now I need to pivot.

Thinking I'll maybe break out a full coverage from hibernation and see what 24 hours of progress can do, so I've just been ferreting around to find all the colours for that. Forgot how satisfying it is seeing them all laid out!

Of course now @infinitybear has gone and announced a sale so maybe this plan will change again, if I can actually get my credit card working before the sale ends. We'll have to see what fate has in store 🤔

I have sent or handed out this year's holiday cards, so I can finally share the poem I had printed on the front of these folded cards.
