It's ghetto as hell, and you might think that's awful.

I am leaving the hospital today finally.
Going to a new place is always scary for me though. I am going to a different, but similar facility to where I was staying before.
Hopefully it isn't a total mess, but I don't think anything could be worse than Soul Housing, which put me in the hospital.
Then I have a reference for more permanent housing later, just need to call even if it is awful.
My #health is MUCH better, that will be my shield no matter what happens.

If I search "mSATA", it's because I'm looking for something in THAT form factor.
I don't mind that you show me converters from mSATA to other formats (2.5", PATA, etc), you weren't to know I was after the SSDs themselves.

It never stops amazing me how out of proportion the American idea of a meal is.

And I feel like I sound awful. I was still going to show up for other people even if it didn’t help me. I was trying to edit my story to make it more applicable. But when she flipped out at me for sending a substack that talked about how long it takes for women to get diagnosed with PCOS, or endo (24 yrs for me), after I expressed concern that there would be unintended consequences if women have to be diagnosed with these things in order to get sterilized that we just won’t be, I had to opt out of supporting it. I don’t oppose it or anything even though I don’t think it’s good in the long run, I just can’t testify in support.
And I’ve been mad at this woman all day about it when this is totally dem behavior:
“We don’t actually care about your flavor of identity politics anymore but if you don’t set yourselves on fire keeping my cause warm F you!”
One woman brought a whole entire documentary camera crew to this two versions ago, she has to work this time so she sucks I guess.
Another woman drove up from Connecticut, she doesn’t want to use her PTO to do it again since her story is just that she’s a Childfree heathen who wanted to be sterilized, so she doesn’t think it will help “the right to appropriate medical care for reproductive disorders” bill.

Good news!
My Cavitary Lesion in my lung wasn't Tuberculosis!
Bad news- I was failed by doctors again.
I thought I had nasal polyps. Was scheduled for surgery.
I took antibiotics for pneumonia about a month ago. My nasal symptoms also subsided, and I got my sense of smell back.
Even more so with more at the hospital the last few days.
I had a severe nasal infection, which dripped into my lungs, and infected them due to poor previous health lowering my immune system

German politics, Koalition und Politikverständnis, long rant
Der neue Koalitionsvertrag ist an so vielen Ecken furchtbar, dass man gar nicht weiß, wo man anfangen soll. Und doch war meine erste Reaktion bei einigen Sachen erstmal "es hätte schlimmer kommen können". Und ja, hätte es, und viele dieser Sachen werden vermutlich glücklicherweise nicht in der Form umgesetzt werden können, weil man halt eben doch die Stimmen der Opposition braucht.
Aber ich finde es ziemlich niederschmetternd, wie "es hätte schlimmer kommen können" irgendwie das Ding ist, womit man als bestmöglichstes Ergebnis so rechnet.
Ja, es hätte auch ne CDU/AFD Koalition geben können. (Bei dem Kurs, den die so fahren wollen, kommt das halt dann in der nächsten Bundestagswahl, mit der AFD als führende Partei...)
Ja, die CDU hätte noch mehr konservativen Scheiß durchdrücken können als eh schon.
Und dass sie im laufenden Betrieb bei zu sammelnden "Oppositionsstimmen" auch die der AFD öfters mal annehmen wird, ist anzunehmen, also ein bisschen "schlimmer" kommt da sicher noch auf uns zu.
Aber wisst ihr, was wir auch hätten haben können?

Schlimmer geht immer, aber vielleicht wärs doch mal ganz hilfreich, wenn wir "könnte noch schlimmer sein als eh schon" nicht als höchstmöglichsten Standard sehen könnten?
Aber dafür darf man dann halt nicht CDU und AFD wählen und sich dann wundern, warum vom Bürgergeld gar nix mehr übrig bleibt, es im Sommer doch immer so heiß ist, Winterurlaub in den Alpen ausfällt, weil kein Schnee mehr da ist und landesweit mehr Betriebe schließen müssen, weil junge Fachkräfte "deutschen Blutes" halt nicht wie Pilze aus dem Boden sprießen und drei Tage später fähige Arbeitskräfte sind.
Wir sind durch die ganze CDU-Politik seit der Wende und einen Haufen Hetze gegen jede andere Regierung seitens der CDU, der AFD und der Politiktalkshows so sehr daran gewöhnt, dass eine beschissene Lebenssituation der Standard ist, dass man gar nicht mehr wagt darauf hinzuarbeiten und zu hoffen, dass es mal besser werden könnte. Kein Wunder, dass so vielen Leuten dann auch nix anderes mehr einfällt, als irgendeinen Sündenbock zu suchen und Nazis zu wählen, die diesen Sündenbock am meisten bashen, wenn "hohe Mieten", "furchtbares Bahnnetz", "hohe Gemüsepreise" und "monatelange Wartezeiten für einen Arzttermin" wie gottgegebene Naturgesetze behandelt werden, statt menschengemachte und politisch gewollte Zustände.
Das gesellschaftliche "Wir" muss endlich begreifen, dass der schlimmstmöglichste Zustand nicht der Maßstab sein darf, an dem wir Dinge messen. Ja, wir haben keine Nazis in der Regierung, sondern in der Opposition. Aber ist das wirklich das, wie wir eine akzeptable Regierung definieren wollen, dieses Maß an Hoffnungs- und Anspruchslosigkeit?
Ich wär für "nein".
Ich hätte gerne eine Regierung, bei der ich nach einem Blick auf die neuen Koalitionsziele als ersten Reflexgedanken "das schaut doch gut aus" haben kann.
(Bei dem Koalitionspapier der Ampel hatte ich das an einigen Stellen, und hätte die FDP nicht jeden Fortschritt blockiert und die Medien nicht kräftig mitgemacht, dann könnten wir jetzt gesellschaftlich und politisch schon viel weiter sein. Stattdessen gehts zurück in die 90er, aber nicht den Teil mit der coolen Musik und der tollen Mode...)
Was besonders wichtig ist, ist jetzt aber nicht klein bei zu geben. Wir haben im letzten halben Jahr gesehen, dass die Nazis eben nicht "das Volk sind", sondern es hier wirklich viele Menschen gibt, die sich für eine bessere Demokratie einsetzen. Organisationen haben sich vernetzt, lokal haben sich Leute gefunden, und viele Menschen sind politisch aktiver geworden und lassen sich nicht mehr ganz so sehr verarschen. Viele Briefe wurden geschrieben, viele Anrufe getätigt. Es war sehr kraftraubend und die Vorstellung, das mindestens vier Jahre weiterzumachen, ist sicher ermüdend. Aber wenn wir die Demokratie und unsere Mitmenschen nicht schützen, wirds sonst keiner machen. Wenn ihr nicht die Energie oder Möglichkeiten habt, euch aktiv zu engagieren, dann unterstützt die Leute, die es tun, finanziell. Also, dran bleiben! Jetzt erst recht!
