Weirdly I had an amount of time this Sunday to poke the upper barrels that showed some tan through in yesterday's photo. And then I had the time to oil wash them, let them dry again a bit and then clean up the excesses. Fun and enjoyable as always!
No one hazarded a guess so here we go: they are Clan Jade Wolf. Yes, the silly thing that had a total lifespan of nineteen days. Nineteen days.

Y’all, you've put up with me complaining about space chickens and a painting I couldn't figure out. Then a friend reminded me “murder your darlings”, and I thought about all the chaos and rage that this month has engendered, and I turned Metallica Black up to 11, put down the brushes, picked up some knives...and I give you, “January 2025”. I really kind of love it. I wish I took better pictures, there’s so much texture and movement in person.
I got the Gamma Galaxy and the Cluster insignias freehanded on the legs, but I found no suitable slot on the Ebon Jaguar for a Clan emblem, so it was left without. The unit numbers were left black, I didn't want to mess them up (more) with a light grey.
Last evening's sepia #OilPaint wash got cleaned up, now they're drying in the sauna again. I'll doublecheck the cleanup in the evening, and if things are good, I'll get to the #jeweling part, yay!
