You might remember me mentioning that I currently participate in another exhibition at Wyrd #Strasbourg and as part of this exhibition, where all pieces have to be created by at least two artists, several of us filled a sketchbook together. I had the honour of doing the very first page and ofc I cheated a little and painted on black paper that I then glued/taped in there. 😄

Dark and a little creepy, or colourful and whimsical? Which side of my art do you prefer?

I’ve never been able to stick to one specific niche with my creations and don’t think I ever will because I can’t see myself setting boundaries to my creativity.

Sure, certain themes, like forest or fantasy, are almost omnipresent, but even these aren’t a must when I’m creating.

As promised, one last old(ish) fan art before I go back to original art. This one is from my early #gouache days when I was too used to watercolor to dare adding much paint so it looks softer than my recent work. 😄

And don’t get me started about #Zelda because I could chat about it for hours (but plz do get me started in the comments if you too love it 👀).
To keep it short, the series is a major inspiration for my art and I’ve been a huge fan since OoT (MM probably being my fave).

To continue in the spirit of yesterday’s post, here is another one of my rare fan art pieces from post-dA days.
The #DarkSouls series has such an amazing universe so full of ambiance, sadness, nostalgia, and beauty, that it’s 1000% worth dealing with the frustration.
I’ve beaten 1 & 2, and clocked a considerable amount of time on #EldenRing and still always draw inspiration from these incredible worlds.

Which of the Souls games is your favourite?

Something I don’t talk much about here is that I’m a massive geek & during my dA days I almost only created fan art & digital art. (lots of #TES, some too saucy to show here haha)
When I got back to traditional art in 2020 I mostly gave up fan art & now enjoy creating my own worlds.
One universe that will never leave me is #Morrowind so in 2023 I painted the Bitter Coast with #gouache. (when I say it will never leave me, I literally have a Daedric M tattooed on my wrist 🙃)
