Had a visitor lounging in my front yard earlier this evening.

Photo was through the front door & storm door so kinda blurry and washed out, post processing tweaks could only help so much.

FWIW, we had several rabbits that enjoyed going outside on a leash with a harness. Since I was never more than ~20 feet away (long lead), I thought it was acceptably safe with me keeping an eye out for cats and birds of prey.

We used cat harnesses that have two loops that each have a click-together/release, so you're not forcing anything over their head, but you have to adjust the neck loop to near its minimum size to fit a rabbit. You also have to fit them fairly tightly to avoid them being able to wriggle out of them.

Lola and Applejack, a pair of house rabbits, are enjoying time outside in a park. They are wearing harnesses originally intended for cats, attached to long, flexible leads to let them run and explore. They are never without a human when outside like this. Lola is a white (not albino) rabbit with grey markings on her ears and down the bridge of her nose. Applejack is a mottled brown with white markings under his chin and belly. Applejack is looking at the viewer, while Lola appears to be concentrating on the grass.

I have a George story.

For those who came in late, George is our very large and very dumb house rabbit. He's a mutt, brown with one lop ear and one erect, and weighs somewhere in the neighbourhood of 8 kg - 17 pounds. We haven't weighed him in a long time, because he's not a fan of being picked up, so it's stressful.

Anyways... last night I went to give him a treat before I went to bed. He has one of those flat-packed wooden cottages that you fit together with tabs and slots, and generally overnights in it. He's generally in there some time before I go to bed.

So I got the treat, came to the cottage, and called him as usual. He was in the cottage in the opposite direction of his usual way - and even though there are entrances at both ends, he couldn't figure out how to get out... 🤣 He kept trying to turn around inside the cottage, and he's too big for that.

George, a large brown house rabbit with one erect ear and one lop ear, is sitting under a plastic stepstool on the carpeted floor. His erect ear is pointed in the direction of the photographer, with his head turned to image-left, so the eye on the near side of his head also appears to be looking directly at the viewer. His four feet are together, and he is holding his head low, close to the floor. His large butt points away in the opposite direction.
