So, if I've read this correctly, #Microsoft plans to provide security upgrades for #Windows 10 until 2032, but home users can't have any of it unless they shell out for five seats. Have I got that right?

This doesn't affect me (we're a Linux shop), but it does smack of giving users what Microsoft wants them to have rather than what they need and want. And that makes me wonder whether #Windows11 is more lucrative for Microsoft than #Windows10 and, if so, why.

Hieß es nicht früher immer, #Linux wäre zimperlich mit Druckern? Ich habe eben die gegenteilige Erfahrung gemacht. Der Versuch, einen älteren Canon-Drucker unter #Windows11 zum Laufen zu bringen (bei meinem Schwiegervater), hat mich fast 2 Stunden beschäftigt. Zwischendurch wollte ich testen, ob nicht doch der Drucker das Problem ist, und hab mich deshalb mit meinem #Ubuntu aufgeschaltet. Das hat den Drucker sofort und selbständig erkannt und ließ mich direkt drucken. Soviel dazu.
