Loved the blue coloring on that #mossy rock, which marks the edge of a competing #lichen. Before I saw that, I thought it was just a blank space.

I am currently working on a video tutorial of this scenery for my patrons and the voice over is, as always, the longest part. Mainly that is due to my feather babies being very vocal so the moments where I can record without constant chatter and screams in the bg (sounds ominous) are rare.
Hoping to have it done beginning of next week at the latest.

The trillums are blooming, which is nice in and of itself, but is also an indictor that the spring fungi should be arriving soon. If I'm lucky, there'll be some morels and verpas where I found them last year around this time.

Also, I learned recently that there’s not two morphs of Trillium: white and purple. But rather that the flowers start out white and change to purple over their lifecycle.

In spring, my eyes are forever searching for something to rest on and explore with the camera. I returned to the maple grove on the hillside a few days ago. Through the trees appeared a patch of colour, shimmering red and green in the sun, visible from afar, like a treasure trove illuminated by a celestial light. A little too poetic maybe but who can resist that? ;)

The macro photos of moss I have posted here and on pixelfed these days are all from that stump. I spent at least an hour there, looking at the mini landscape, exploring every nook and cranny. Or was it three hours ? This is art therapy.
