"There is perhaps no organization with a better reputation among leftists around the world than the MST. Its admirers will tell you that the group has managed accomplishments that elude progressive movements elsewhere: It maintains a radical approach, pushing for revolution in the long term while providing homes and incomes for working-class Brazilians in the short; it has adapted to shifting conditions without suffering major rifts; and it fought to get Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Brazil’s once and current president, out of prison in 2019 and back into power, all while keeping its independence from the ruling Workers’ Party. “We have been very inspired by the MST as a political and social movement,” Enzo Camacho, from the ALPAS Pilipinas, a group that works to organize the Filipino diaspora in Berlin, told me. Belén Díaz, a sociologist and a member of the left-feminist Bloque Latinoamericano collective, put it more bluntly: “The Landless Workers’ Movement is the most respected social movement in the world.”

In October 2022, the Workers’ Party won back the keys to the presidential palace and, despite a January 6–like coup attempt by Bolsonaro and his supporters, Lula took up residence the following year. With democracy secured and the reactionaries out of the executive branch, the MST shifted into a more offensive posture: It began to seize more unused land and to occupy illegal farms once again. The movement’s return to its pre-Bolsonaro form seemed to surprise Lula’s administration, and it generated some mainstream attention

Emmanuel Macron a commencé sa visite de 48 heures par une visite privée du Grand Musée égyptien, “le plus grand musée au monde consacré à une seule civilisation”, qui abrite notamment le trésor de Toutankhamon et sera inauguré le 3 juillet prochain, rapporte Egypt Today. Outre les discussions à trois sur la situation à Gaza, la visite du président français sera l’occasion d’élever les relations franco-égyptiennes au rang de “partenariat stratégique”, avec la signature de nombreux accords de coopération. A pesquisa Futura Inteligência divulgada nesta quarta-feira, 26, revela que o ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro venceria o atual mandatário, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, em um eventual segundo turno da eleição de 2026.

O estudo mostra que 51,1% dos entrevistados preveem a vitória de Bolsonaro em 2026, enquanto 37,7% seguem confiantes em Lula. Além disso, apenas 0,6% não souberam responder, e 11% declararam intenção de votar em branco ou nulo.


Para o levantamento, a Futura ouviu 1 mil pessoas, de 19 a 22 de março, por entrevista telefônica. O índice de confiança é de 95%. A margem de erro é de 3,1 pontos porcentuais, para mais ou para menos.

Nas redes sociais, ele criticou a "pressa" da Suprema Corte em julgá-lo pela suposta tentativa de golpe de Estado.



“Estão com pressa”, disse o político. “Muita pressa. O processo contra mim avança a uma velocidade 14 vezes maior que o Mensalão e pelo menos dez vezes mais rápido que o de Lula na Lava Jato.”



Bolsonaro argumenta que “a própria imprensa noticia, abertamente e sem rodeios”, que a razão da agilidade do STF é a falta de um adversário competitivo — capaz de derrotá-lo e conquistar o Palácio da Alvorada no pleito do ano que vem.

“A ironia é que, quanto mais atropelam regras, prazos e garantias para tentar me eliminar, mais escancarado fica o medo que eles têm das urnas e da vontade do povo”, ressalta o ex-presidente. “Se realmente acreditassem na democracia que dizem defender, me enfrentariam no voto, não no tapetão.”


Para ele, o Brasil vive uma das maiores crises de sua história, “não só econômica, mas também democrática”.
