#ScribesAndMakers 14, Would you enjoy living in a creative village/house/shared accommodation? Or do you already?

My other half is just as much of creative chaos as I am. That's all one house can take, really.

I do have a bit of an aversion to the drama and tension of group ateliers or living. It sounds idyllic, but my stars, creatives can be drama queens. Best to hang out at the party and skedaddle on time.

#ScribesAndMakers 12, Shameless self-promotion day.

Can't believe I missed shameless promotion day!

I like this illustration. I suspect it might end up as part of the cover design for book 12. Looking at bits of the outline for it, that makes a remarkable amount of sense. I love it when that happens. The six pixies in a trench coat that is my subconscious can be rather prophetically brilliant at times.

#ScribesAndMakers 11, Do you use spreadsheets to help in your process? If so, how, and why?

Nope. I do not speak the ancient language of the spreadsheets. The little boxes do not inspire much creativity in me.

A while back, I've started to use Deck for tasks and Collectives for wiki and world building. That seems to be working, but my chaotic pantsing is strong. Still, it can be satisfying to track and visualize a bit of progress on this never-ending quest of mine.

26.02.2025 In writing and with other activities, do you stick to one genre/category?

I clearly prefer SciFi with a middle ground of realism.
But the genre is pretty big and overlapping with a lot of different things. Post Apocalypse dystopia, Solar Punk Utopia, Space Opera, hard SciFi, soft SciFi and Space Fantasy (StarWars and newer Star Trek) as examples.

I also like Cyberpunks stories which are classified as Dystopian but show how humanity really is or are mis used as examples and patterns by FElon small Duck energy and other narcissistic behaving relicts of the second worldwar.

Sorry for the rambling I'm still sick and can finally read again without my eyes feeling like dried up cheese grinders.

25.02.25 Do you buy your supplies online, at discounters, or in specialty shops?

Mostly online this days, that's what's happening if small companies in small cities get replaced by big companies and online trade. First the bigger companies go all in an fire up price wars, ruining the competition for smaller businesses.
Than they pull out because their prices can't be payed by local people who don't travel 3-6 hours a day for work, anymore. Leaving only online alternatives. Locust Capitalism. Show me one smaller city on this planet where this didn't happened.
Smallville in Superman 2050 will be on bar struggling to survive and a city of unemployed without a school or anything anymore...
So here locusts take my money for an online transaction that you forced upon me.

24.02.25 Time management. How do you manage to fit one or more creative activities into your day/week?

I actually don't plan at all and manage things as they arrive.
I'm an Agent of Chaos as I said before on occasion.😅
If I feel inspired to write I write if I feel for system element bricks I do.
Lately I build on a Warhammer 40k "Miniature" which convinced me to finally end this hobby for good and replacing it with something not so 🤬🤬🤬 (Ghazghkull Thraka never again).
Now I have to cycle back to the Blue Brixx Enterprise E because I finally got an answer from a human that isn't 3 lines copy and paste (probably 10 c&p).
Everything I do, I do if I feel like it. That's why I have such brought hobbies and interests and can't really work in cooperate environments.

Rausgeschmissenes Geld.

The loss of the ketchup plant devastated the town, which had relied on the plant for jobs, but also for other funding, as Heinz had sponsored multiple town expenditures such as park improvements.

When French's came in and bough the plant, many in Canada saw this as more than just an economic act. They saw it as a move by French's in support of local (Canadian) products and produce. Canadian consumers looked for the maple leaf indicating the product was made in Canada.

In 2021, Heinz returned to Canada and opened up a new ketchup plant in Mont Royal, Quebec, but the sting of the original plant closure hasn't left the Canadian consciousness, and recently outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, when discussing buying Canadian, mentioned French's, leading to Heinz to respond "What about us?"

With the US boycott, and a mix of Heinz ketchup from both the US and Canada, the crucial issue of where one buys their ketchup is once again in the spotlight.
