I thought Joy Reid's last show was a nice send-off. I especially like how she shouted out her crew, too. I certainly don't love that she's leaving, though I don't watch much these days.
Worth pointing out that not many of the MSNBC cadre even have a fediverse presence at all.

#RachelMaddow just went off on #MSNBC for canceling #TheReidOut. She pointed out that while MSNBC is keeping #AlexWagner, they cancelled her show as well as #JoyReid’s, & in doing so they cancelled the only shows in prime time with women of color as anchors. She also talked about the new leadership disrespecting the support staff by making them reapply for jobs at the network.
Well done #Maddow.
The sad part about Joy Reid is she will never understand why she was canceled. She allowed her skin color and her work to become one and the same to her. For her, the ratings are a direct response to her being a black woman, which is untrue. She, like everyone else, is more than her job, gender, or race. But she allowed her race to become her show. Therefore, when the show is canceled, she sees that as a reflection of her own self-worth and that is truly sad. #JoyReid #msnbc
