Star Trek: DS9 rewatch, Odo rant

I honestly can't see how Odo was ever forgiven for his actions when the dominion occupied DS9, let alone actually getting into a relationship with Kira.

Because he was having changeling sex, he let Rom get caught, and he literally said that it didn't matter because he was fucking a changeling.

How did Kira, who is in my top 3 Star Trek characters ever let that go, let alone take him as her partner.

I think Odo is a great character with a lot of nuance, and Rene Auberjonois portrayed him amazingly, but I just don't think he's really a good person. He seems to always choose order over true justice, caring more for following the rules than what the end result of the rules are.

"Overgunned and overpowered"

I converted Chris Kuhns new blueprint-correct U.S.S. Defiant to C4D/Redshift. Since the texture emissions did not work well in Redshift I added some mesh-based area lights, that used the texture emission submeshes as emitting objects, that works far better and also is far more controllable through area light settings.

This is a first quick test render.

WOW Y'ALL I just watched every fucking Star Trek ever. it's been a wild ride, thanks for following along with me!

as previously discussed, I'm now going to rewatch #TheMagicians for the billionth time, cry a lot, and probably not post about it (and no @serge, I'm probably not gonna watch Babylon 5 anytime soon)

I'll be back with more Star Trek opinions once the new seasons drop, but until then this is it 💜

auf netflix ist für mich gar nicht so einfach, als ich zuletzt sah, in den 90ern über Premiere, war ich noch verheiratet und erlebte Gewalt. Aber die Serie war für mich auch eine Zuflucht, wenigstens da hatte ich meine Ruhe, deshalb geht es dann doch ganz gut. Seither lebe ich lange und in Frieden. 🙃
