It probably comes about for a variety of reasons but the change has accelerated so sharply in the past two to four weeks that I think the principal explanation is Xwitter Flight. Anti-Trump posts, local posts, political posts generally, music posts, health posts history posts, and lots of other types have gone WAY the heck up. Elon Musk is despised because he is despicable - he got it the old-fashioned way - he earned it - and the same is true for his Assistant President, Donald Trump. The data online shows that Xwitter is in continuing decline, though Xwitter denies it. I haven't found information that is quite recent enough. Until data to the contrary should arise, if it ever does, I am going with Xwitter Flight.[This server is having a persistent problem with uploads so I am unable to show a graphic right now of Xwitter decline since January but it came in at 2.11% on top of big declines since 2022. As Trump's Hoovernomics have brought back inflation and recession, horridly weakening the US economy, so Musk has run down Tesla and Xwitter.
