@slesa Seriously, why you have to do it? I can do rust on Linux with vim without any of that.
@xorgrox I'd really love to. I'd also love to replace this Win11 by something more likely to be an Operating System. Unfortunately, this laptop does not belong to me, but to my employer
@slesa Wasn't there something like VS build tools? However, when selecting workloads / individual components you can easily install 10+ GiB depening on which versions you need. If you don't know beforehand, tough luck.
@brezelradar Using JetBrains all the time. No idea about that.
@slesa For Debian it is just "sudo aptitude install cargo" at a command prompt.
@mrflash818 Isn't the call of rustup.sh with curl prefered?

@slesa There’s a feedback link where you could indicate you’d prefer a lighter-weight installation for that scenario.
Rust also supports the MinGW toolchain.
