Not gonna lie, the internet now has way fucking more pop-ups than I remember in the 90's, they're just "technically" not pop-ups because they're in the same window. But there is constantly, constantly, constantly shit on my screen getting in the way of what I want to read/look at. This hostile design wears down on us all in small ways every day. Lots of folks dislike computers and phones, I think, because hostile tech design is basically the same thing as constant microaggressions.
