thx for the hint @KasTas, based on your input I did a quick net search and found this:

To record only audio in OBS Studio, go to File -> Settings -> Output, make sure Advanced mode is selected. Open Recording tab and choose Custom Output (FFmpeg) in dropdown. Choose e.g. mp3 as container, disable Video encoder and edit the rest of settings to suit your needs.
This will save the output to .mp3 directly and you can use a separate profile for that in case you're also using OBS for normal video recording.

Basically I use #friendica from #desktop @Julien, and due to it's powerful options "under the hood" I recommend to become familiar with that layout too @Captain Steph.

Not sure if #Raccoon is designed exclusively for friendica but I do know that @Hank G ☑️'s #relatica is, apparently there is even some desktop version too.

Actually if I had to choose only one platform as an option for each kind of #fediVerse screenView use case, I'd choose friendica for desktop and mastodon for cellphone every time. #Decentralization calls nearly by default for more than one profile and microblogging is for a handy screen while desktop is for #newsPaper like edition of content. And friendica is a little bit like that.

That way your mastodon profile becomes your #chatAPP and your friendica profile on the desktop that follows your #mastodonChatAPP profile gets every conversation pushed into the stream in a brilliant page view to #readTheRoom.

You can reset any android phone, start from scratch, confirm the inicial TOS but not register with google services and the playstore. That's the moment when you get a little bit sealioned with the intention to trick you into confirm registering with google and perhaps the phone vendor and maybe the producer.
In the android aplication settings in applications you can stop and uninstall all standard google programs, including things like #chrome. The only one I use is #googleMaps, but I don't allow access to the #GPS, for any APP, including weather forecast. And I have GPS nearly always turned off.
They might sealion you into registering with google to update things like chrome so stopping those APP's is useful.

You wont have a #gmail account or anything but you normally have some kind of browser, or the #USB connection for the #phone. From there you start by installing the f-droid APP, you have to allow third party APP's and can install the rest from there. You probably would want to install #KDEconnect, #Newpipe or #Pipepipe as YT replacement, #mastodon or #fedilab APP for the #fediVerse, of course there are more options, #lightning as web browser, #antennaPod for podcasts and some email client.
Updates for f-droid installed APP's come in automatically and you have to allow each and every one. Of course the android updates themself work as always.

Anbei mehrere Videos die den Verlauf des #learningBYdoing der korrekten Einstellungen dokumentieren. Es können sowohl Einstellungen in #pulseAudio als auch direkt in OBS vorgenommen werden.

Im großen und ganzen lässt sich sagen das das H4Npro "out of the box" mit debian Linux betrieben werden kann. Offensichtlich gibt es jedoch Umstände bzw Einstellungen die dazu führen das das Gerät entweder nicht erkannt wird, plötzlich nicht mehr gelistet ist oder trotz scheinbar korrekten Einstellungen nicht funktioniert.

Die USB-Verbindung ist offensichtlich Bidirektional da in einem Moment der Audioausgang des Laptops über den eingebauten Lautsprecher des Handrecorders abgespielt wird. Nicht sehr günstig da jener Sound natürlich postwendend wiederum von den H4Npro Mikrofonen aufgenommen wird. Das hört mensch dann auch in Form eines echoartigen Tones. Da jeder einzelne Kanal und auch die Richtungen der Übertragungen in pulseAudio definiert werden können, ist dies an sich kein Problem, im Zweifelsfalle ein Stilmittel.

Dieses Gerät das offensichtlich aus irgend einem Grund zumindest ab und zu auftaucht, ist nicht wirklich funktionsfähig.
Die Einstellungsoptionen sind nicht auswählbar und werden nicht übernommen.

A thread about the tool adb to access your android cellphone and become able to do all the stuff of your hand held computer from your desktop. You don't have to root your phone to be able to use #ADB, but you do have to switch developers mode on. You can do that in settings, depending on your android version, somewhere in a settings subfolder by tapping like ten times on the serial number (or something like that) of your phone. Next you have to open the "developer options" section that has appeared at the bottom of the settings section and enable "debugging with USB".

ADB is also available on windows, perhaps MacOS, yet the info here is from the view point of a #linux #debian #desktop. Except a few details, things shouldn't be different for users of proprietary operating systems.

Another necessary program for your desktop computer is scrcpy. This program allows you to project the screen of your cell phone onto your desktop screen if you have ADB installed.
To install #scrcpy:

./install_release.sh

git pull
./install_release.sh

To see and have access to your cell phone from your computer you have to first start adb and connect the cellphone and than type in the console:

While installing #freeCAD on this #ubuntuStudio LTE setup I realized again that the result of the commons are really tragic. After downloading and installing that #freeopensource program from the repo in a glimps of an eye, opening it for a first time my mind was confronted with a simple first page without popups, advertisement of more addons to buy or little dogs that jump around whipping with their tail.

I have to admit, I'm confused, my tictoc trained mind that can't concentrate for more than 45 seconds anymore has no clue what to do and went into kernel panic mode.

How to download by default video or audio if you have a direct link like this:

Go to the firefox settings by typing about:config in your browser:

• Accept the warning message.
• Enter media.play-stand-alone in the search preference field.
• Toggle the setting to false

about:config

• Save the bookmark with the name of the search preference field name, in this case media.play-stand-alone
• Save the bookmark

When ever you click on such a link in the future, firefox will ask you where to store the media file.
If you want to change this setting, visit the bookmark, copy/paste the preference name to find the setting and toggle it.
