Perun is taking a lighthearted look at the question of whether you could equip a pan-European Defence Force without importing any American platforms or major systems.

WHAT AN EUROPEAN DEFENCE FORCE NEEDS THE MOST
This video shows how much stuff Europe can actually produce on its own, and it will come handy for people managing the EU Rearm plan.
But what Europe needs the most, imo, and it is maybe even cheaper (financially, even if not politically):
1- a Common political-military Defense Council that can make decisions on military policies
2- a military General Staff that helps executing them
3- General Commands at least at the Corps level, with their own Staff and support troops (Logistics and Signal Brigades for example), that can deploy the brigades that the national armies may provide.
This is something that bigger European countries already have, but smaller countries (those whose armies are smaller than like 60.000 troops) should build by making alliances among themselves.
Smaller countries can’t just hope to rely on the bigger countries for that.
Why? Because, they may simply withdraw, like the USA.
A Bardella, a Farage, a Weidel will come to help? For sure #Italy’s Meloni won’t (even if Italy is somewhat good with these capabilities). And we are just an election away for #France, #UK or #Germany to do not come either.
The same of course for the Air Force. For the Navy, it is different, because also bigger countries should find out how to manage multi-national task forces without the US Navy.
