It absolutely sucks that I can’t get to this. I’m BA to Masters, not Masters to Ph.D. Yet.

@ErickaSimone @nuvicks How close are you to getting your Masters? I don't know about Music but in Computer Science it's often possible to delay the start date of a PhD position like this.
@robinadams @nuvicks about a year away. Year and a half if I keep going slow. But it’s not far. And the masters program would only need another year for completion. It’s accessible but I know there’s someone better suited that already hit the reqs.
@ErickaSimone @nuvicks OK. That far away they'll probably say "If we don't find a suitable candidate this time we'll readvertise the post in 6 months and you can apply again then."
But it can't hurt to contact them and try. Leave it to them to decide if there's somebody more suitable.

@ErickaSimone Yeah, unfortunately they don’t even look at applications without a complete Masters.
