I’m probably the one making majorify of negative posts, since that’s mostly what comes across my RSS feed these days. But I don’t think the community itself is oriented around being negative, it just doesn’t censure negative posts.

As of Jan 2025, X (formerly Twitter) had around 335.7 million users, so how is it possible that data from 2.8 billion users has been leaked? One possible explanation is that the dataset includes aggregated or historical data, such as bot accounts that were created and later banned, inactive or deleted accounts that still lingered in historical records, or old data that was merged with newer data, increasing the total number of records.
It’s profiles, not people, so it does make sense knowing at least half is bots.
Many are leaving US entrirely, which on one hand is disruptive, but on the other hand is not the kind of disruption US needs right now.
Ignoring the blatant corruption that they are even able to invest into companies, this is not really surprising from corporate Democrats…
